The Hero - Introduction.

Across a very diverse range of cultures, the figure of the epic hero measures up against a set of standard qualities and experiences. From a young age it is understood that he will achieve great strength and renown. He undergoes intense training and makes huge personal sacrifices in order to hone his skills and endurance. He is passionate and devoted, either to his lord or his comrades, and his strength earns him a command position. He engages in brave and daring acts and eventually sacrifices his own life in some epic and violent manner. Here is a quick list of these warrior hero traits:
